The Lincolnway Special Recreation Foundation is gearing up for the 6th annual benefit golf outing. Discounted tickets are available till Aug. 2. Contributions are also accepted online. 

Combine your enthusiasm for golfing and participate in the 6th annual Lincolnway Special Recreation Golf Outing.

Discounted tickets are available with online registration till Aug. 2. The annual fundraising event is planned for Aug. 9 at Sanctuary Golf Course, 485 Marley Road in New Lenox. On the day of the event, registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with a complimentary range and open putting green, 18 holes of golf, golf cart, free beverage cart on the course, contests on the course, lunch at registration or at the turn and dinner.

The dinner buffet, awards ceremony and raffles will get underway when the last foursome has completed their game.

Toddler Time: Stories and Play from 10:30-11:15 a.m. The program is designed for toddlers and their adult caregivers. Walk-in registration is welcome with a valid Frankfort Public Library card. For information visit the Frankfort Public Library website.  

Tuesday, July 30

School Supply Kit Pick-up from noon-8 p.m. at the Mokena School Dist. 159 Administrative Offices, 11244 Wilowcrest Lane. For more information, visit the M159 website.

Wednesday, July 31

Movie Night at the New Lenox Village Commons, 1 Veterans Parkway, begins at dusk. The featured film is "Monster vs. Aliens." The event is free. All you need to bring along is a blanket or chair. Concession stands will be open.

Thursday

New Lenox Library Opens its new Senior Center. The grand opening is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Senior Center, which is located in the Adult Services Department on the second floor of the New Lenox Public Library, 120 Veterans Parkway. This will be an ongoing event occurring on the first Thursday of every other month.
