Top Artists To Converge In Frankfort For Art On The Green

The annual art fair features local artists and a variety of activities for attendees.

FRANKFORT, IL — Art on the Green is scheduled to return from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Breidert Green in downtown Frankfort. The event is a five-hour art festival featuring some of the area's best artists in a variety of media. The event is hosted by the Frankfort Arts Association.

Art on the Green, previously known as The Frankfort Fine Arts Fair, usually holds its event in June, but with pandemic restrictions in place then, decided to hold it this month instead, Frankfort Arts Association Board President Katie Stempniak said. Since this is an outdoor event, masks will not be required, but those wishing to wear one can, she added.

“We’re really excited. We have a little bit over 25 artists who are going to be participating, which I think is wonderful considering all the restrictions we’ve had to deal with the last year and a half,” Stempniak said.
