Toss Out Old Prescription Drugs At Frankfort Police Station

This weekend's village event is part of the 14th annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Police Department will participate in the 14th annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Residents can disposing of prescription drugs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at police headquarters, 20602 Lincoln Way Lane.

Along with the getting rid of expired or unused medications, organizers also are using the event to educate the public about the potential for abuse when it comes to prescription drugs. The Cook County MEDS website provides a map and listing of other locations around the area participating in the event.
