Vehicle Burglars Nabbed In The Act: Police

Frankfort police said they arrested four men Thursday caught stealing parts off vehicles.

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort police arrested four men who were caught trying to steal parts from vehicles in a lot, the Frankfort Police Department said. The incident took place around 5:47 p.m. Thursday.

Dustin M. Behrends, 24, of the 200 block of E. Chester Street in Cabery; Christian M. Miller-Grobe, 25, of the 4700 block of W. Hilltop Drive in Kankakee; Shawn P. Morgan, 21, of the 800 block of E. Locust Street in Watseka; and Johnathon J. Schill, 22, of the 500 block of E. Oak Street in Watseka were each charged with burglary, theft, possession of burglary tools and criminal damage to property, police said. Additionally, Schill had an in-state warrant for failure to appear on a traffic-related matter.

Frankfort police said they were responding to a burglary in progress in the 20400 block of S. LaGrange Road when they spotted the men attempting to flee the area. The Will County Sheriff's Department assisted in the arrests, police said, and all the stolen items were recovered.
