2-Way Traffic To Reopen On Kautz Road In Geneva, St. Charles
City staff anticipates all three lanes of Kautz Road to be open throughout the winter ahead of final construction taking place in 2025.
GENEVA, IL — Kautz Road will reopen to two-way traffic Wednesday as construction continues into the fall, Geneva officials said in an update.
A detour on Kautz Road, as a result of a project between Geneva and St. Charles to widen and reconstruct the road, has affected northbound traffic since September. The overall project is taking place between Swenson Avenue in St. Charles and just north of State Street in Geneva.
Until Wednesday, the detour permits southbound traffic only from Toni Street in St. Charles to Averill Road in Geneva.
