National Ice Cream Day is Sunday, so Patch surveyed readers to find out what local businesses have the scoops in town.
GENEVA, IL — Ahead of National Ice Cream Day Sunday, Patch asked readers for recommendations of the best ice cream places in Geneva.
The beloved frozen treat has been the focus of every third Sunday in July in the United States, thanks to President Ronald Reagan who decreed the day in 1984.
Unfortunately, readers didn't come to a consensus on where the best scoop is. But they did give several recommendations.

- Graham's Fine Chocolates and Ice Cream. One reader said she goes "every day. I have been going for years. The variety of flavors and cones are deliciously amazing! Plus, the staff is kind, helpful and amazing. I have had ice cream around the world, Graham's is the best. They get a Gold Medal." Another reader, who considers themselves an ice cream connoisseur, said Graham's is the best in Geneva "for taste, flavors, creaminess, not too sweet, on site experience, friendliness, and price!"
- "Candy's Creamery in Mill Creek is the best!" one reader said. "Her selections are all good and Candy is a kind and giving community member. Support Candy's in your small business adventures."
- Culver's, which recently opened a location at 470 N. Randall Road in Batavia.
