Volunteer Position Opens On Geneva Planning And Zoning Commission
The city is looking for a dedicated resident to fill a vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
GENEVA, IL — The City of Geneva is searching for a dedicated volunteer to fill a vacancy on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The commission is an advisory group comprised of locals who make recommendations to the City Council on a broad range of Geneva planning and zoning issues. Its mission is to "ensure the City's plans, goals, policies, land use ordinances, and regulations are promoting orderly and coordinated growth and development within Geneva."
The commission meets at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.

Residents interested in serving should submit an application as well as a letter of interest to Mayor Kevin Burns at Geneva City Hall, 22 S. First St. The envelope should include a reference to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Candidates must live within Geneva's corporate boundary limits to be qualified. The application deadline is 4:30 p.m. Jan. 16.
