Drive-Thru Microchip, Vaccine Clinics For Pets Coming To Kane County

The clinic, hosted by Kane County Animal Control, is set to take place each month from April to October.

GENEVA, IL — Kane County Animal Control will host several drive-thru events to get dogs and cats microchipped and vaccinated.

The clinic will take place monthly starting from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 15. It's scheduled to occur again from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 24 and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 10. The event will be held in August through October too, although dates and times have yet to be announced.

No appointments are necessary for the clinic, which will take place at 4060 Keslinger Road in Geneva.

A rabies vaccine with a tag valid for one year costs $22 for neutered animals and $40 for non-neutered ones. A discount, making the vaccine $10, is available for senior citizens ages 65 and older. A microchip costs $15.

All owners will be required to verify their pet has not bitten anyone in the past 10 days, organizers said. If a pet requires a muzzle, it must be put on by the owner before entering the clinic.
