Emergency Sewer Repair Underway In Downtown Geneva

GENEVA, IL — The Geneva Public Works Department is working Friday morning to fix a sewer in the downtown area.

The emergency sewer repair was underway at the intersection of Route 31 and State Street as of 9 a.m.

The work required crews to close the southbound Route 31 left turn lane that heads east onto State Street. Drivers should expect delays and might want to avoid the area in the meantime, officials said.
