GENEVA, IL — The City of Geneva's flag was lowered to half-staff Monday in memory of Ann Burns, the mother of Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns, who died May 3 at the age of 81.

Along with her husband, John, Burns co-founded the Geneva Vikings All Sports Booster Club. She also served on the Geneva High School Prom and Post-Prom Committee and was a member of the city's Planning Commission, according to a Monday news release from city officials.
