Full Fleet Of Snowplows Deployed As Snow Continues In Geneva
With two inches of accumulated snow, officials enacted the winter parking ban and asked residents to move their cars to avoid tickets.

GENEVA, IL — Snow has begun falling in Genevva after an afternoon of precipitation Thursday, causing officials to deploy the city's entire fleet of snowplows to clear the ongoing snow.
The city's small plow team is working to salt and cut center driving lanes in residential neighborhoods, while the big plows work on state highways and main arterial roads, officials said in an announcement. Once small plows finish, they will pair back up with the big plow team to continue tackling the snowy streets.
"Geneva's Public Works Department will continue to work creating center driving lanes on residential streets through about 7 p.m.," city officials said in a 5 p.m. update. "However, those lanes may disappear if the snowfall continues at its current pace."
