Garbage Collection Rates To Increase In Geneva

Rates will be adjusted as part of the city's contract with Lakeshore Recycling Systems.

GENEVA, IL — Garbage collection rates in Geneva will go up next month as part of the city's contract with Lakeshore Recycling Systems.

A refuse sticker, currently running residents $3.95, will cost $4.13 beginning July 1. Prices for optional garbage cart subscriptions will also increase by about $1 per billing cycle, per the contract.

Locals can continue to use their remaining supply of refuse stickers bought at the current rate without paying the difference, officials said.
