Geneva 2025 Consolidated Election: Who Filed For Mayor, Alderperson
The terms for Geneva mayor, five alderperson roles, city clerk and city treasurer are expiring next April.

GENEVA, IL — Top elected seats in Geneva could shuffle come April, as the terms for mayor and six alderperson positions are up for election.
The mayoral role, as well as one City Council seat in each of Geneva's five wards — currently held by Mike Bruno, Richard Marks, Becky Hruby, Amy Mayer and Robert C. Swanson — will be up for election April 1, 2025, each for a four-year term.
A vacant two-year aldermanic seat, open after Craig Maladra resigned from his position in September, will also be on the ballot.

Vicki Kellick, the city clerk since 2022, and City Treasurer Jennifer Milewski, who started in 2021, are also nearing the end of their terms. Both four-year positions are up for reelection.

After circulating their petitions for three months, candidates running for office began filing their petitions at 9 a.m. Nov. 12 for the upcoming election. The filing period in Geneva ended at 5 p.m. Monday.
