Geneva Child Sex Offender Gets 4 Years in Prison

A man who assaulted a child repeatedly from 1998 through 2005 in Geneva was sentenced to a four-and-a-half-year prison term this week.

Timothy J. Dolan, 51, pleaded guilty to criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse in a plea agreement accepted in Kane County criminal court on Thursday.

Dolan, a former resident of Geneva who now resides in Winfield, also will serve 30 months of special sex offender probation after his release — avoiding contact with the victim, places with children and possession of sexual materials — and register for the rest of his life as a sex offender.
