Geneva Finance Department To Close For Training

GENEVA, IL — The Geneva Finance Department will close Aug. 5 to accommodate a software training for staff, city officials said.

Customers won't be able to drop off checks or come ask questions in person, at 15 S. First St., during the day. Instead, payments can be made online, sent in the mail or deposited in dropboxes at City Hall, the Finance Department and both Geneva fire stations.

Payments can also be made over the phone, at 877-875-2709, using the city's interactive voice response system. Customers wanting to start or stop a utility can complete a form online.

All other city facilities will be open as usual Aug. 5. The Finance Department will resume normal business operations the following day.
