Officials Search for Art-Minded Volunteer to Fill Vacant Position

Geneva officials are hoping to fill a volunteer position this month on the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission.

City of Geneva officials are keeping their eyes peeled for a volunteer-focused resident who has a passion for creating diverse art experiences.

Applications are now being accepted to fill a vacancy on the Geneva Cultural Arts Commission, according to a May 31 community bulletin. The commission is tasked with infusing art into the community and its events such as the Film Festival, RiverPark Concert Series, Shakespeare in the Park series, Eat Your Art Out and Steeple Walk.

Those interested in pursuing the volunteer opportunity have until June 30 to apply. Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns will review all applications before bringing his nomination before the City Council for a formal vote.
