Geneva Student Invited To Join Strategic Plan Advisory Committee

City officials are looking for a dedicated student to fill a vacancy on the committee tasked with prioritizing community goals.

GENEVA, IL — City leaders are looking for a dedicated Geneva student to fill a vacancy on the Strategic Plan Advisory Committee.

The committee is tasked with prioritizing community goals outlined in the city's strategic plan, encouraging residents' input and assisting with goal implementation. Members meet at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.

Officials said they prefer candidates to be either sophomores or juniors in high school; they must also reside within the city's corporate boundary limits.

Students interested in the role mail an application along with a letter of interest to the Strategic Plan Advisory Committee within Geneva City Hall, 22 S. First St., by Nov. 20. The committee will review applications and conduct interviews before deciding on a candidate this fall.
