Disorderly conduct

Geneva police were called to the 0-99 block of South Third Street Saturday, Aug. 31 on a requested welfare check of a white male, where they arrived to find 21-year-old Alex Westermann, of the 1400 block of Sugar Tree Lane, Pacific, Missouri, inside All Chocolate Kitchen. According to police Westermann appeared "very aloof" and would answer questions with a question, and the officer was advised Westermann made threats of bodily harm to an employee at a business located at 15 South Third Street.

The victim told police Westermann came into the business at 12:40 a.m. and asked to use the restroom, but became very upset once the victim told him the restrooms aren't for public use, according to the police report. The victim told police Westermann said, "I own this building and I'm going to come back and beat you up so bad you will be sorry," the police report added.

When police asked Westermann if he had visited the business and asked to use the restroom, he reportedly said he'd been in several stores but didn't recall asking that question, or any conversations and was "living his life, but was restricted because he has to be himself," according to the police report.

Westermann was arrested on accusations of disorderly conduct and was taken to the Geneva Police Department, where police received a call from another business located at 11 South Third Street. According to police, the caller said Westermann had been in the store at 12:37 a.m., just minutes before he went to the store at 15 South Third Street, and began pulling on doors and was holding a long black fireplace lighter. Police reported that the caller said after she told Westermann he couldn't be in that part of the store, he told her he owned the building, and that she'd "be sorry," before he left.

Westermann was arrested and taken to the Kane County Jail, facing disorderly conduct charges, according to the police report.
