KANE COUNTY — Kane County's coroner's office this week passed its accreditation audit with an outstanding score.

In a news release, the county said the audit was completed by the International Association of Coroners & Medical Examiners (IACME). The coroner's office in Kane County received a 100 percent compliance score in both required and non-required standards.

Coroner Rob Russell said completing the audit during the coronavirus pandemic spotlights the office's success.
