Hello, my name is Boots. I’m smart, energetic, and always looking for something to do, I like to be on the go, go, go! My former family said I’m about 6 years old, but I act much younger. I’m fully vetted, neutered, and healthy as can be! I’m fun, fun, fun, and love to run! I was surrendered to Safe Haven Dog Rescue because my owners were older and I am high energy. They just couldn't keep up with my party lifestyle!
I like to snuggle, especially under a blanket next to you. I'm very friendly and comfortable with men, women, and children.

I like to play with other dogs and I'm very fast so I try to see if they can catch me. I’m very good on a leash and I don't seem to like the crate that much but do stay in it when needed.
I'm very loving but need to work on following rules, like “come” and “stay”. I might try and sneak out the door with you and then pretend that I can't hear you. I'm trying to work on that but it's just so fun to run and play, I sometimes sneak out to the yard and don’t always come when I should. I'm doing great in a fenced in yard and I love walks.

I wasn't trained by my first family. They loved me, but they didn't train me. I'm looking for a family that's tons of fun and can teach me how to be my best canine self. I’m a great size, about 35 to 40lbs and have an amazing personality. I just need someone willing to give me training, exercise and positive attention in exchange for my never-ending love. I'm a great little guy with a big personality who deserves a family as fun as I am!
Boots is also available for our Foster to Adopt program!
Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process.
