Penrose Brewing Scores Another Six Medals At U.S. Open Hard Seltzer Championship
This year, similar to last year, Geneva's Penrose Brewing earned sixth place in the overall competition.

GENEVA, IL — Penrose Brewing clinched six medals at this year's U.S. Open Hard Seltzer Championship, repeating the same number of wins as last year.
The competition, held in Oxford, Ohio, is the largest hard seltzer judging event in the United States, attracting top producers who compete based on quality, taste and innovation.

- Gold: Pink Lemon Seltz-Up in the Pink Flavored Lemonade category
- Gold: Blueberry Pomegranate Lemon Seltz-Up in the Mixed Fruit category
- Bronze: Cherry Temple Seltz-Up in the Mixed Fruit category
- Bronze: Apple Cider Donut Seltz-Up in the Cake/Pie/Pastry category
- Bronze: Margarita Seltz-Up in the Mixed Drink category
- Bronze: Lemon Seltz-Up in the Lemonade category
This year, similar to last year, Penrose earned sixth place in the overall competition.
In other achievements, Pink Lemon Seltz-Up completed the "three-peat" by winning a gold medal in the Pink Flavored Lemonade category for the third consecutive year, and Lemon Seltz-Up snagged its third medal overall, now with two gold medals and one bronze.

"We are incredibly proud to be recognized again at the U.S. Open Hard Seltzer Championship," Tom Korder, Penrose co-founder and head brewer, said in a statement. "Our team has worked hard to create seltzers that not only taste great but also push the boundaries of flavor innovation. It’s an honor to see our efforts celebrated on such a national stage."
To celebrate its success at the championship, Penrose plans to release an additional patch of the now-award-winning Blueberry Pomegranate Lemon Seltz-Up in its taproom starting July 25.
