Ride In Kane Program Will See Fare Increase In February
The program, administered by the City of Geneva, began in 2008 to offer paratransit transportation to seniors and people with disabilities.
GENEVA, IL — The cost for a ride with the Ride In Kane program will increase beginning in February, Geneva officials said.
Beginning Feb. 1, trips exceeding 10 miles will be billed at $2 per mile, up from the previous $1.50 extra per mile. The base fare of $5 per trip made for the first 10 miles will remain the same.
Officials cited the reason for the increase as being "to continue delivering services to senior citizens and disabled residents."
