Rookies American Pub Opens 6th Location In Geneva

GENEVA, IL — Rookies All-American Pub and Grill, a sports bar noted for engaging with its patrons about sports on Facebook, is opening a sixth location in Geneva.

A grand-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled to take place at the pub, located 1996 S. Kirk Road in the Fox Valley Ice Arena, at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 20, welcoming the business to the community and to the Batavia Chamber of Commerce.

While the official opening is in two weeks, the locale has already started serving customers. Last weekend, on Jan. 9, Fox Valley Ice Arena held public skating hours, and after visitors finished their skating rounds, they were able to check out the new Rookies.

Serving food and drinks, the restaurant will be open daily except on Tuesdays — — its bar is open later than the kitchen most nights. Rookies offers its customers an extensive menu, with plates ranging from salads and sandwiches (including burgers) to tacos, wraps and pizza.

The Geneva location, as well as the other five Rookies, are also looking to employ workers. Applications — for positions including waitstaff, greeter and bartender — are available on the pub's website.
