St. Charles Man Shot At Geneva Public Storage Site: Police

According to police, early investigation shows the man was the intended target​ of the shooter.

GENEVA, IL — The Geneva Police Department is investigating after one person was shot Sunday night at Public Storage, located in the 2300 block of Gary Lane. According to a release from the police department, the reported shooting took place at 9:13 p.m. at the storage site, where police found a 30-year-old St. Charles man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his neck and back. The man's 26-year-old girlfriend wasn't hurt during the shooting, and spoke to police about the incident, according to the release.

No one has been arrested in the shooting, and no suspect information is available, police said.

While early investigation shows the man was the intended target of the shooter, officers don't believe there is a threat to the public, police added.

Police said the man was taken to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva, where he continues being treated for his injuries Monday.
