State Street Down To 2 Lanes After Water Leak In Geneva
Traffic on State Street is limited to two lanes, one in each direction, Geneva officials said.
GENEVA, IL — Traffic on State Street is slow-moving Wednesday after a water leak resulted in the road being limited to two lanes, city officials said.
The Geneva Public Works Department is responding to the water leak near Anderson Boulevard, according to an alert sent out at 11:15 a.m. Crews expect the problem to be repaired this afternoon before the evening rush hour.
With crews on the scene, traffic is limited to one lane in each direction. The westbound curb lane has been shut down, and since traffic was shifted to the center of the highway, the middle eastbound lane was also temporarily closed.
