Taste of Batavia Block Party Held This Weekend

Stop out for $3 food tastings, live music, a classic car cruise night and more.

The annual Taste of Batavia Block Party will be held this Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m.

The event will be held in downtown Batavia. Batavia restaurants will line Batavia’s riverwalk during the event for $3 food tastings.

There will also be a variety of cool beverages available and live music from River City Revival and Patrick James as well as headliner Dick Diamond and the Dusters. There will also be a classic car cruise night, pie bake off, twist-off and hula-hoop competitions for prizes, bags tournament and kids activities area with free bounce houses.

  • Gammon Coach House – Fish Tacos
  • Range Grill and Tap – Award Winning Brisket Chili in a potato cup
  • Pal Joeys- Pizza slices and meatball sandwiches
  • Wilson Street Tavern and Diesels – Roast Pork Sliders and roasted corn
  • Neighbors Magazine- Soda Fountain
  • Andre’s- Tacos

“The Block Party is going to be a great night in downtown Batavia full of music and fun,” states Batavia MainStreet board member, committee chairman and owner of Music Matters School of Music, Jeff Matter. “This is the chance for everyone to enjoy a block party because downtown is everyone’s neighborhood.”

New this year is the “Bags for Batavia” fundraiser cornhole tournament. The tournament begins at 4:30 p.m. at 100 N. Island Ave. Cash prizes are avilable and registration per team is $40 and can be done at 630.761.3528 or by e-mailing jamie@downtownbatavia.com or stop into the office at 4 ½ W.
