Tree Trimming Planned Along Kirk Road, Railway Tracks In Geneva
ComEd will be trimming trees near electric lines this spring in an effort to minimize power outages.

GENEVA, IL — ComEd is planning to trim trees near electric lines in Geneva beginning in mid-May, city officials said.
Trimming operations are scheduled predominantly along Kirk Road and the Union Pacific-West Railway tracks. ComEd's vegetation management program helps reduce power outages by keeping branches away from power lines.
Although Geneva owns and operates its own electric utility, ComEd power lines feed its substations. Geneva interconnects with ComEd to allow the City to receive energy purchased from its regional service transmission provider, PJM.
