Volunteer Positions Open On Geneva Historic Preservation Commission, Mental Health Board
The city is looking to fill vacancies on both the Historic Preservation Commission and Mental Health Board.
GENEVA, IL — Volunteer positions are open on Geneva's Historic Preservation Commission and Mental Health Board.
The city is seeking residents to fill the vacancies on both boards — the Historic Preservation Commission meets at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, and meetings for the Mental Health Board occur at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month.
The seven members of the Historic Preservation Commission are in charge of maintaining the authentic architectural character and historic integrity of properties within the Geneva Historic District as well as individual historic landmark properties throughout the city. The Mental Health Board reviews applications from nonprofit organizations that provide mental health services to the community.

Interested residents should submit an application and letter of interest to Mayor Kevin Burns at Geneva City Hall, 22 S. First St., by Aug. 8. The envelope should include a reference to either board.
Candidates must live within the city's corporate border limits.
