Water Leak On Route 31: Southbound Lane Reopens
Flaggers were set in place to direct the one-way traffic on Route 31 Friday.

GENEVA, IL — The southbound lane of Route 31 was closed Friday while Geneva Public Works crews fixed a water leak.
The water leak occurred near Ford Street, officials said in an alert at 8:15 a.m. While the lane was closed, flaggers were set on both ends to direct the one-way traffic.
Crews said in an update around 11:40 a.m. that the work, originally expected to be completed in the afternoon, was finished at 10:45 a.m.
