Civic Center Gym Hopefuls: It's Lottery Time
The demand for gym use at the Civic Center became so high that a lottery was put in place. There is still time to enter!
Residents wanting a chance to use Glen Ellyn's ever-popular Civic Center gym still have time to throw their hats in the ring.
The demand for the space became so high several years ago that village officials created a lottery for it, according to a local news alert. The deadline for the 2016-2017 season is July 31.
The Monday through Thursday lottery offers the following time slots: 3 to 5 p.m.; 5 to 7 p.m.; 7 to 9 p.m.; and 9 to 10:30 p.m. Rental rates remain $30 per two-hour time-slot — a $15/hour rate — and $22.50 for the 9 to 10:30 p.m. increment.
