'Isolated Incident' Led Police To Close Sunset Street In Lombard

Residents in the area had been advised to stay indoors Monday while Lombard police responded to what they called an "isolated incident."

LOMBARD, IL — Police responded to an "isolated incident" in Lombard Monday that led to road closures and a message to nearby residents to stay inside their homes, per a social media post from the village

The post, shared around 3 p.m., said there was a police presence in the 100 block of Sunset Avenue. Though police had advised residents to stay inside, there was believed to have been no threat to the public.

Sunset Avenue had been closed from Main Street to Charlotte street and police planned to deploy a drone to help "with the response," a post said. Per a village update, the incident was resolved shortly after and streets were reopened to traffic.
