Death Investigation In Lombard: One In Custody In 'Domestic Situation'

LOMBARD, IL — One person was taken into custody amid a death investigation following a "domestic situation" in Lombard Friday morning.

Police were at the scene in the 500 block of North Clarendon around 6:30 a.m. after getting a report of a "domestic situation." Residents had been advised to avoid the area.

Around 11:40 a.m., village officials shared an update notifying residents that a person had been taken into custody and a death investigation was underway. Authorities say charges will likely follow.

According to police, there was no additional information to share as of Friday afternoon.
