GLEN ELLYN, IL — The Friday Summer Concert Series returns to downtown Glen Ellyn June 7 to kick off the 2024 season, bringing live bands residents can enjoy while they nosh on cuisine from local restaurants. This year's schedule is as follows: June 7 6 p.m.: Altered Suburbia 7:45 p.m.: SerendipityAug. 2 6 p.m.: That Petty Band Duo 8 p.m.: The Chain Sept. 6 6 p.m.: Yankee Cowboy 7:45 p.m.: Semple Main Street will be closed from Duane to Hillside, with the stage set up at Duane. Concert goers can set up their chairs as early as 5 p.m. Since restaurants will be selling food and drink to go, attendees are prohibited from bringing their own refreshments and food.
