Funds Being Raised To Assist Woman Shot At Roselle Bar, Co-Workers
An Italian Pizza Kitchen employee was shot in the head after she and two co-workers were at Bulldog's Ale House when a gunman opened fire.

ROSELLE, IL — A fundraising effort has started to assist the woman who was shot in the head after a gunman opened fire at a Roselle restaurant and bar over the weekend.
The woman, who was one of three women who were at Bulldog Ale House together at the time of the incident was taken to a local hospital after being shot, police said. A 22-year-old Roselle man is being held after he was denied bond and charged in the incident that took place after he started arguing with an employee of the restaurant.
Sabrina Perfetti, who organized a GoFundMe effort that was started Monday, said that the woman who was shot is an employee of Italian Pizza Kitchen in Roselle. She said that the woman, who is in her 20s, was with two other Italian Pizza Kitchen employees when the shooting took place.

The GoFundMe has raised more than $5,700 as of Tuesday afternoon and will go toward the medical expenses of the woman who was shot as well as to cover the lost wages of the other two women along with any mental health coverages the women may need, Perfetti said.
“At Italian Pizza Kitchen, we aren’t just co-workers, we are a big family and family takes care of each other,” Perfetti wrote in an email to Patch on Tuesday. “These three women are loved by many and deserve the world. We are raising money so they don’t have to stress about anything.”

Perfetti said that all three of the women were very traumatized by the shooting, which took place just before 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.
The suspect, Jamie Quijano, fled the restaurant on foot but was arrested a short time later at his home in the 200 block of Walter Drive. A pistol and magazine were found on the couch at his home, along with two live 9 mm rounds, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office.
He is charged with one count of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm, and aggravated discharge of a firearm.
One of the rounds was found in Quijano's pants pocket, and the other was found in a satchel he had been carrying.
DuPage County State's Attorney Robert B. Berlin said the denial "sends the message that senseless, unprovoked acts of violence as alleged in this case will most certainly not be tolerated in DuPage County."
