History Repeats Itself: Glenbard South's Wold Wins the Class 2A Cross Country Championship

Raiders take fifth as a team in Class 2A.

Glenbard South senior John Wold (14:38) took first place in the Boys Class 2A Cross Country State Championship for the second year in a row. And, again, senior Joe Singleton (20th, 15:34) shared top-25 honors.

Behind Wold and Singleton were Joe Meade (44th), Ibrahim Jawad (48th), Andrew Kladiva (60th), Jon O'Rourke (80th) and Michael King (110th).

In their fourth straight appearance at state, the Raiders came in fifth place as a team. Here is how the Top 5 stacked up:
