Pets of the Week:

We share information on pets waiting for homes at area shelters.

Every week we bring you pets looking for homes at area rescue groups. This week the pets are from the DuPage County Animal Care and Control

DuPage County Animal Care and Control

Pumpkin

Do you have time for a cat?  My person didn't, so he gave me to Animal Control.  I arrived with just 1 tooth, yet I manage to eat dry food (though I do prefer canned). I do require a special diet for sensitive stomach.   An orange tabby with white paws, chest and face — and a crooked smile — I am both cute and handsome.  I absolutely LOVE to be held.  I'm a confirmed lap cat who will follow you around and snuggle between the sheets.  I'm best as an only cat, but will tolerate a laid-back female.  I'm good with gentle older kids and if your dog will ignore me, let's talk.  I'm looking for love ... and someone who has time for a little orange tabby named PUMPKIN.

Troy

Troy came to DuPage County Animal Care and Control because his owner didn’t have enough room for him. He’s a Chow Chow and Labrador Reriever mix who is 4 years old. Troy was raised around children ages 7-17 and loves to play with them. Due to his size, it may be best he be placed with a family with children over 10. Troy also likes to chase to kitty cats, so it is best that he does not live with them. His previous owner states that he is an active pooch who enjoys jogging with his human companion. He is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. All he needs is a family to call his own and maybe a jogging partner to make his life complete. Jog (or drive) over to DCACC to see Troy!
