Taste Of Glen Ellyn Festivities To Span Four Days In Mid-August

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Festivities for the Taste of Glen Ellyn will span four days in mid-August, with the Taste set for the first three days and carnival rides available for all four.

The festival hours are as follows.

Aug. 13: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m

Aug. 14: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Aug. 15: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Aug. 16: 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. (carnival activities only)

Food Vendors

The highlight of Taste of Glen Ellyn is its food options. This year, at least a dozen vendors will be onsite. These include Barone's of Glen Ellyn, Bonita Bowls, Buona, Cousins Maine Lobster, frozen dreamz, Javi's Burritos, La Cocina de Maria, Lee Concessions, Main Street Pub, Nobel House, Rainbow Cone and Strawberry Patch.

Live Music

In addition to food vendors and carnival rides, Taste of Glen Ellyn will feature three nights of live entertainment. Here's the performance schedule:

Aug. 14

6 p.m.: Whiskey Thunder

8 p.m.: Chasing Rumors

Aug. 15

6 p.m.: Sealed with a Kiss

8 p.m.: 7th Heaven

Aug. 16

12 p.m.: School of Rock

3 p.m.: Minor Damage

5:30 p.m.: Serendipity

8 p.m.: Infinity

Carnival Rides

A total of 15 rides will be at the Taste of Glen Ellyn, including a Ferris Wheel, giant swings, miniature helicopters and the Zipper.

Wristband are available to give access to unlimited carnival rides from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The cost is $30 per person. Prime time wristbands are $35 and give access to unlimited rides Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
