'Dangerously Hot Temperatures' Opens Cooling Center In Glenview
The Glenview Park Center will be open Wednesday until 7:30 p.m.
GLENVIEW, IL — With another day of hot, potentially dangerous, temperatures predicted throughout Chicagoland for Wednesday, the Village of Glenview announced the Glenview Park Center is open as a cooling center.
The center at 2400 Chestnut Avenue is available for anyone who needs it from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the area starting at noon. A severe thunderstorm warning is also in effect until 10:45 a.m.

Nearly 90,000 customers throughout the area remain without power Wednesday, according to ComEd. Around 200 customers in Glenview are without power as of 10 a.m.
