Endeavor Health Glenbrook Hospital Named Top Teaching Hospital

GLENVIEW, IL — After receiving standout grades last month that distinguished it as a high-ranking hospital in a number of areas, Endeavor Health Glenbrook Hospital has gained another honor. It was named a 2025 Leapfrog Top Teaching Hospital, placing it among an elite group of hospitals recognized nationally for outstanding performance for patient safety and quality.

The news comes after Glenbrook Hospital achieved "Straight A" recognition in November for earning an A grade in five or more consecutive rating cycles of the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, a distinction earned by only about 12 percent of hospitals nationwide, according to the organization. Endeavor Health Edward Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, Evanston Hospital, Highland Park Hospital and Northwest Community Hospital also received A grades.

The Leapfrog Top Hospital award is given to teaching, general, rural and children's hospitals that publicly report their performance through the Leapfrog Hospital Survey and "meet the high standards" defined in the Top Hospitals methodology.

Reported information includes infection rates, maternity care and a hospital’s ability to prevent medication errors, among other standards. More than 2,400 hospitals were considered for the award, and 156 Top Hospitals were selected.
