Dr. Robert (Bob) David Essak, age 85, retired dentist, passed away on July 29, 2023 surrounded by love in his Glenview home, after wrestling with both NET cancer and metastasized ocular melanoma. Loving husband of Judith Essak nee Fink. Beloved father of Deborah (David) Cohen, Samuel (Jennifer) Essak, and Rebecca (Martin) Zeidman. Proud grandfather of Maayan Essak, Balen (Lorena) Essak-Hernandez, Lena Essak, Micah Cohen, and Adin Cohen. Cherished brother of Karen (the late Arthur) Paullin and brother-in-law of Sara (Bill) Belkov and the late Larry Fink. Bob Essak was a friend to everyone who met him. His personality drew others to him, and he was loved for his kindness and self-effacing manner, his playfulness, and his ability to use humor in life. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten as his simple pleasures of nature, art, music, and sports are now treasured activities for his children and grandchildren.
