Forged Checks Found At Glenview Business
More than $2,000.00 worth of computer equipment was purchased from a Glenview business with forged checks.

The following reports were provided by the Glenview Police Department. Arrests and charges are accusations and do not indicate guilt.
Residential Burglary
On April 9, a resident on the 1600 block of Glenwood Avenue reported someone stole a bike from their garage, according to police. Method of entry to the garage is unknown, police say. Reported loss is $300.00.

Forgery
On April 11, Glenview police say they received two reports of forged checks used to purchace computer equipment from a business on the 1200 block of Milwaukee Avenue.

First, someone used a forged business check to purchase a $950.00 computer, then someone used a forged business check to purchase four computer monitors worth $1,250.00, according to police. Both checks were denied by a bank when the business attempted to deposit them, police say.
Burglary from Motor Vehicle
On April 13, someone reported their unlocked car was burglarized while parked at a business on the 1400 block of Waukegan Road, according to police. Two tote bags containing miscellaneous items worth about $75.00 were taken, police say.
DUI
On April 16, Rakesh Jagetia, 45, of Glenview, was arrested at the Glenview Police Station, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to yield turning left, according to police. The charges are related to an incident that occurred on April 11 on the 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue, police say. He was released on a $3,000.00 bond.
