New trees will be planted in parkways at no cost to residents.
The Village of Glenview is due to get some new trees as part of the Parkway Tree Planting Program to replace fallen trees that died because of emerald ash borer beetles sucked the life out of them, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The new trees will be planted at no cost to residents , but people are asked to care of trees planted in the parkway near their home, the grassy area between the sidewalk and street, the Chicago Tribune reports.
