Glenview's Pioneer Press Layoffs To Start In March

As many as 160 employees could lose their job when the Chicago Sun-Times closes two bureaus on March 24, including the Pioneer Press office in Glenview, the Journal & Topics reports.

An Illinois report says the Sun-Times layoffs are part of a corporate restructuring and likely permanent, according to the Journal & Topics.

Eight other companies are reportedly preparing for layoffs throughout Illinois, including Walgreen's and Kmart,Crain's Chicago Business previously reported.
