Go Green in Glenview Saturday: Earth Day Lineup
Celebrate the Earth this weekend at one of Glenview's environmental events.

GLENVIEW, IL - Residents can go green this weekend via local environmentally and family friendly activities to commemorate Earth Day.
Among festivities is a 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. celebration at Kent Fuller Air Station Prairie, 2400 Compass Road. The venue will serve as the epicenter for nature walks, environmental exhibits, games, and more, which are all made possible by the Glenview Park District.
"You’ll learn about the Bike Glenview Campaign (it encourages biking as the preferred mode of transportation around town) and the history of the Air Station Prairie’s 32-acre tall grass prairie that once stretched for millions of square miles," said a RedTri Earth Day roundup. "Bring a gently used or new pair of shoes for Share Your Soles, a nonprofit dedicated to providing shoes to some of the most impoverished areas of the world."
