Halloween 2025: Glenview Releases Trick-Or-Treating Hours

The candy-filled holiday is on a Friday this year, which won't happen again until 2031.

GLENVIEW, IL — Halloween is less than two weeks away, and the Village of Glenview has released its trick-or-treating hours for the holiday. Kids can collect candy from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine, on Friday, Oct. 31.

In addition, the following related events are scheduled leading up to Halloween:

  • Halloween SKELEbration!, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 24, at Park Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. The cost is $20 per child (ages 2-12); Ages 13+ enter free (payable at the door). Calling all little ghouls, goblins and skeletons. Put on your favorite costume "for a fang-tastic evening of fright-free fun at the indoor/outdoor Halloween bash." Costumes are encouraged.   • Hops & Haunts, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 24, at The Grove, 1421 Milwaukee Ave. For 21 and up (cost is $24 for residents, $26 for non-residents). Gather around the fire this Halloween season for Hops & Haunts — "a chillingly fun night out for adults" at The Grove. Enjoy local craft beer under the stars as storytellers share eerie legends, unsettling true tales and spine-tingling folklore by the flicker of the campfire. "It's a casual evening of haunted history and nature's mysteries, perfect for those who like their brews with a side of boo," according to the Village. Costumes optional, courage encouraged.   • A Family Halloween at Historic Wagner Farm, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oct 26, Historic Wagner Farm, 1510 Wagner Road. $10/person, free for 2 and under. Get in the spirit with a kid-friendly Halloween bash farm-style. Dress up in your favorite costume and enjoy a haunted wagon ride, pumpkin games and more ghoulish fun.   • Family Boo-nanza (grades K+ w/ adult), 6:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 29, Glenview Public Library. Hear a not-so-scary story, then make a lantern to keep the ghosts away. Only register the children that will be attending, but plan to participate as a family. Learn more
  • Scared Silly Storytime and Costume Parade, 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Oct. 31, Glenview Public Library. Join the library for not-so-scary stories, songs, and a costume parade through the Library. Drop in.
