When it comes to being charitable, Illinois is about average. In a national ranking, our great state falls in at 28th most charitable.

According to WalletHub, a personal finance social network, the five most charitable states are Utah, South Dakota, Idaho, Kansas and Nebraska.

The five cheapskates put Nevada as dead last, followed by West Virginia, Kentucky, New Jersey and Arizona.
