Lottery Drawing For April 6 Ballot Positions Planned In Glenview
All simultaneous first-day filers qualify for the lottery to determine top ballot position.

GLENVIEW, IL — The Village of Glenview will conduct a lottery next Wednesday to determine ballot position for all candidates who filed nominating papers with the Village at 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 14, the first day of established party candidate petition filing for the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election.
All simultaneous first-day filers qualify for the lottery to determine top ballot position. All other ballot positions are determined by order of filing. Candidates need not be present, according to a release.

According to Lynne Stiefel, communications manager, the lone Village President candidate will take the top position. The first drawing will determine which of the two slates will go next, followed then by the other slate. The second drawing will determine the order of the Library Board candidates.
