Man Found in Bedroom During Estate Sale Accused of Theft
A dispute between neighbors about one exposing themselves in a back doorway was also reported in the most recent Glenview blotter.

The following information is from the Glenview Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
Theft
A resident of the 1600 block of Riverside Ct. reported finding a man in their master bedroom during an estate sale at the home Oct. 12. They suspected the man of stealing and told him to leave. Officers located him nearby and he consented to a search that revealed two credit cards in the victim’s name. The victim did not wish to sign a complaint and the man was released without charges.

Disorderly Conduct
A resident of the 1800 block of Tanglewood Dr. reported a neighbor, who lives in the 1800 block of Jefferson St., frequently exposing themselves by standing at their back door when the other resident returns home. Although the neighbor is in their own home, they can clearly be seen. Officers went to the home to investigate, but no one answered the door.

Identity Theft
A resident reported that someone used their information to make an Internet purchase. The order was cancelled and the resident suffered no financial loss.
Deceptive Practice
A resident reported being a victim of a deceptive practice from a person online in reference to a job as a personal assistant. The resident was persuaded to deposit a $2,350 check into a bank account, withdraw money and mail it to a second party out of state. The check never cleared and the resident’s account was negatively affected.
Criminal Damage to Property
A resident of the 700 block of Spruce St. Someone cut several branches off from the front bushes of a house in the 700 block of Spruce St. sometime between Oct. 5 and 8. The estimated loss is $1,000.
Disorderly Conduct
The complainant reported being yelled and cussed at by an unknown man who had his dog unleashed at Community Park West, 1001 Zenith Dr., after they asked the man to leash his dog as they neared them during a jog around the park at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 8. Officers were unable to locate the offender in the park.
Criminal Trespass
An employee of a business in the 0-100 block of Waukegan Rd. reported two subjects were in the store eating chicken before paying for it at 1 p.m. Oct. 9. Both subjects denied doing so and showed receipts for cooked steaks. Both men left the store and were given no trespass notices.
Theft
Someone entered the property for a business in the 4300 block of Di Paolo Center and cut four master locks on a Nordberg concrete crusher Oct. 9. The offender(s) then removed a control box and 25 feet of cable. The estimated loss is $3,000
