From Wednesday, September 16 until Friday, September 25, the Glenview Road vehicular crossing will be closed and out of service for crossing replacement and track resurfacing. Detour signs will be posted advising motorists to use Dewes Street to cross the tracks. Motorists traveling east on Glenview Road should take Harlem/Lehigh Avenue to Dewes Street and motorists traveling west on Glenview should take Waukegan Road to Dewes Street.

Crossing projects generally include the removal and replacement of rails, ties, ballast, rubber panels and asphalt and are part of the regularly scheduled maintenance of Metra's assets. Crossing renewals provide a smoother ride for motorists and ensure the continued safety of railroad operations.
