Skokie - The Douglas Center is seeking a Part-Time Contract Production & Training Specialist to support our newly established screen printing, heat press, and embroidery departments. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional to share their expertise while working with adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities in a supportive and inclusive environment.

At The Douglas Center, we provide opportunities that foster independence, skill-building, and creativity. Our new production departments are designed to fulfill orders from local businesses, and we are looking for a skilled individual to help guide that work while empowering others.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide instruction and hands-on support in screen printing, heat press, and embroidery processes.
  • Train Douglas Center staff and participants on safe, efficient equipment operation.
  • Prepare materials and guide production to ensure high-quality, accurate results.
  • Foster a clean, organized, and collaborative workspace.

✔ Demonstrated expertise in screen printing, heat press, and embroidery

This is a contracted part-time role (1–2 days per week, depending on order volume), ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful difference while applying their technical expertise.
